Legal fee guidelines for our most common cases:

$100 - New client meetings...roughly one hour's time.

$750-$2,000 (flat fee) - Uncontested dissolution of marriage (divorce) with the range depending on whether or not there are children and the extent of property to be divided, particularly pensions.

$150-$200 per hour. This is our most common billing segment on things like contested dissolution of marriages, paternity cases, modification and enforcement of child custody, support, or visitation, orders for protection, post-death or guardianship estates in probate court and most general civil litigation cases.

$500 - $750 (flat fee) & $100 per hour. Residential real estate representation. For a real estate transaction that proceeds to closing we will not charge more than $500. However, we will keep track of our time in the event a deal doesn't close due to a Buyer's or Seller's decision to kill a deal whereby you would be billed on our time expended in the representation.

$150 per hour ($500 fee maximum). Forcible entry and detainer matters (residential apartment and condominium eviction cases).

$1,500 - $2,000. Living trusts. This includes all necessary meetings and preparation of the trust document(s) along with transfer of assets into the trust.

$300 - Will. $500 for two, married, spouse wills.

$100 - Property or Healthcare Powers of Attorney.

*Repeat clients are given a 25% discount on the attorney's fees set forth above.

**Depending on the facts of your case, we often "cap" our fees up front in certain matters to assure you of a maximum amount of fees that you would pay.

***Our Firm uses Written Engagement Agreements for all matters so that your expectations of us and our fees are set-forth clearly and in writing.

****With the exception of residential real estate, we do require that a retainer deposit be paid up front in each case. This amount might range from 1/2 of your fee for a basic will ($150) to several thousand dollars for an involved and contentious dissolution of marriage case. Our retainer deposits varying greatly based on the facts of each individual case.

*****The above does not include any court filing, service, or recording costs.
